My family came up for a few days and we went rafting! It was a lot of fun for everyone. We saw at least 4 Eagles! Only one person fell out but she made out with just a few scratches.

Well in the last couple of weeks we have wheel burrowed 17 yards of dirt into the back yard! We also got a new lawn mower, which Jason is sporting in the picture above. More pictures on the way...just wanted to give everyone a taste of my lower back pain!

Making the Perfect Shower Curtain

It has been my experience that finding a shower curtain is near impossible. I looked and looked and never found anything even close to the color or price that I wanted. And so I took matters into my own hands.... now presenting my new shower curtain:

The curtain was hand crafted by me and my mother in law, Monica. We sewed two panels together and then sewed the blocks on. And since I was taking pictures in the bathroom....

I am also working on making a valence for the window out of the same material!

We bought a 2005 Nissian Altima! Leather, sun roof and best of all....heating seats! We love it! Here is a picture! It is a dark blue color with tan interior. We are surprised at how big it is and disappointed that it doesn't get as good of gas mileage as we though it would.

Boise State Game

We went to the Boise State vs Nevada game in Reno. Boise State sadly lost but we still had fun. The entire way there and back we stared at people with the mask above and got some pretty funny responses! It was awesome.

San Diego

This last week I was able to go to San Diego with my beautiful mother and sister. We had a blast! We went to Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, Del Mar Beach and La Jolla Beach, Old Town, San Diego Temple, Seaport Village and more.....and oh ya I watched a lot of basketball because that was the reason we went! Shelby played awesome and I am proud to be her older, more mature, and less talented sister!

Holly's Graduation

The last two months have been a blur....Jason finally got an internship! Then on his second day he had to call in sick because he is really sick (he kept me awake all night and it gave me a taste of motherhood). Hopefully he gets better soon!

Holly, Jason's sister graduated from high school...here are some pictures. And in case you don't notice...I didn't really cut my hair, that was grandmothers wig!

"The Clique" is where it is at! They have the cutest clothes, shoes and jewelry and pedicures for a great price! You have to check it out if you are ever in the Salt Lake, Orem, Provo area! It is in Lindon, right by the Walmart just off of State Street!

Today I got a pedicure at "The Clique"...it was amazing, an hour of complete relaxation and massaging and chatting! My toes are super cute, and feet have never been so soft. NO regrets!

My Beloved Brother

I love my brother. I miss my brother. I wish he were here to make me laugh or to tell a story. I wish I could hear his laugh and see his uni-brow and greasy hands. I wish I was a better sister to him. I wish I could tell him that I love him one more time. I know that he is in a better place...I just wish that we could all be in a better place together. I wish that my family was how it used to be, happy, carefree, together. I know I need to learn from this experience but some days I don't want to, I just want to cry, and unfortunately today is one of those days when I am just going to cry.

A Weekend In The Snow

This weekend we got invited to go to our friends cabin! It was so much fun. We got to ride snow mobiles, go sledding, jumping off little cliffs into the snow and eating lots of good food! The cabin was beautiful, the sun was shining and we could not have had more fun. We are grateful we got invited to do such a fun thing! Here is a picture of Jason taking a leap!

Thanksgiving

This past week Jason and I have been in Orem visiting family and friends. We were so blessed to spend time with family and stuff our stomachs all week. Trevor, Jason's cousin just returned from a mission and we got to here his homecoming talk today. It is amazing that young men are willing and desire to share their testimonies and serve the Lord for two years. He did a great job and I am sure he will go on to do many more great things.

During the course of the week we were able to to see the movie Blindside. It was very good. I was impressed with Sandra Bullock's performance and would recommend the movie. It is about a true story, which makes it all the more meaningful.

All and all we had a great week and now we are staying up a little late to finish up some homework we have been procrastinating!

Back at School......AGAIN

It has been so long since I last blogged. We are back in Rexburg, after a six week break from school. This is our fifth semester in a row. We are so ready to be done with school, at least for a little while. However, we keep on going. After this semester we have one more, this meaning we graduate in April!

"Thank you" for November

The semester is coming to end YAHOO! We have Thanksgiving break coming up as well. Our plans for the break are to head off to good old Washington and hang with my family, although for turkey day we will be in Boise. I believe Jason has got himself a ticket to the last Boise State home game! All is going well. Our apartment is a little dumpy but I've tried my best to make it livable. Jason doesn't fit in our shower, and it is always so cold. We have no carpet...wood and crappy linoleum. The floor always looks dirty, and we get dust everywhere. I have also learned that my husband sheds (as do I) but that is besides the point, he sheds more. We are having thoughts of moving to Boise after this Winter semester at BYU-I. Jason got on fast-grad, so that means he would have to go every semester and take fifteen credits every semester. We don't know if we can do this, since their are no job opportunities and we are poor college students. However, we did get grants so that has helped us a lot. It is so cold here. We just got back from a soccer game that one of our only friends was in. He is the keeper and did a fine job 2-0 way to go Shawn! Any ways life is good and we are still adjusting to being married, but I think we both love it thus far.

Jason and I are back at school, and loving it! It is so cold in Rexburg and is supposed to snow soon. Our heater is not on because Jason is never cold but I am freezing all the time. We will have to get that scenario fixed! Being married is a new experience and we are loving the opportunity to get to know each other better. We've decided you learn a lot about a person by living with them. This weekend, Monica, Jason's mom is coming for Mother's Weekend at BYU-Idaho. I am kind of nervous at what she will think of our apartment, but we shall see. My mom, Linda, is coming the weekend after that for a wedding. So we have busy weekends coming, which means more homework during the week, yahoo!

Getting to Know Us

Jason and I met at BYU-Idaho in September 2007, at stadium singing. For those of you who do not know what this is I'll explain. Jason describes it as a cult activity where a bunch of Mormon's meet together and worship by singing. However, I would say it is a lovely Sunday activity to meet new friends and feel the spirit. Anyways, Jason had come with his new roommate, whom I just happened to know. I tried to spark a conversation with Jason but he was shy and somewhat unresponsive. Fortunately, he broke through that barrier and got my phone number. For the next year we dated, more than half of which was long distance. The rest is history.We were married August 8, 2008 in the Boise, Idaho Temple for time and all eternity.
